 Bible Olympics 2018
Our twentieth annual Bible Olympics were held on October 27, 2018 at Calvary Bible Church in East Stroudsburg, PA. This special milestone Bible Olympics was special in many ways - three different churches won Gold medals. The day began with Bible Skits and Bible Counseling, in which Round 2 included one of the most challenging questions the teams have faced in all of the years we've held this event. That was followed by public viewing of some of the best Bible Art we've seen in the 20 years of the Olympics. The Quiz Bowl event had three teams in the championship, competing in an exciting, close match in which there was never more than a few questions worth of difference in score between the three teams. Very few questions went dead, and the Gold Medal eventually went to the team from First Baptist Church of East Stroudsburg, appearing in their first-ever Bible Olympics. Many other expemplary efforts in other events were rewarded with medals. Of course, in the long run, their effort and participation will reap much greater rewards as they study and apply God's Word. In Bible Art, Fellowship Bible's Jenna Resta won her third straight medal and second consecutive Gold medal with her stunning portrayal of 1 Peter 2:9. Calvary Bible Church prevailed for the Gold in the Bible Counseling competition. We trust that all participants will continue to study and apply the Bible and make a difference in the world for Christ!
